I was turning seven years old when my grandfather, dressed in this *magnificent* blue velour shirt, gave me a green tackle box and some fishing gear for my birthday. Fast-forward a handful of decades and I love driving out to the middle of nowhere, setting up camp, and going fishing. Tenkara's simplicity helps me spend more time doing what I love, and that is being outdoors without a lot of distractions.

So, on this site you will find amazing Japanese Tenkara rods. You are also going to find amazing rods and gear from the USA, the UK, China, and Southeast Asia. If the gear is made well, feels good in my hand, and sparks some damn joy, then I say “Fish on!”
